A playground along the Campbellton waterfront will be dedicated to the young Barthe brothers who died almost two years ago after being strangled by an African Rock python.
Campbellton-Dalhousie MLA Don Arseneault says the province is committing $175,000 towards the cost of the project.
“At the playground for kids, we talked about putting forward a commemorative plaque talking about Noah and Connor and how much they mean to the community.”
In addition to the playground, the waterfront project in Campbellton will also include a campground and a dog park.
The total cost of the project is more than $350,000 and it should be completed by next summer.
