Free Admission For Last Weekend At Lion Ken Gabbey Community Pool

This weekend will be your last chance to swim at the Lion Ken Gabbey Community pool in Riverview.

Director of Parks and Recreation Gerry Cole says the outdoor pool will close on August 6th, for upgrades, “In 2020, we are going to be opening a brand new pool. The entire building is coming down and it is going to be replaced with brand new amenities in the building. This weekend we are having free admission for Saturday, Sunday and New Brunswick day.”

The pool has been in operation for four decades, “That is a long time for any building to be in use, especially with the high usage we get at the outdoor pool,” Cole says.

He says they are closing early to ensure that all of the work is completed to open in June of 2020.
