Former Premier Frank McKenna says New Brunswick and Nova Scotia face dire economic consequences unless they fully exploit energy including shale gas.
McKenna doesn’t like the word fracking but says the technology has been with us for over 20 years and is now cleaner and safer, pointing out 15 million Americans live within one mile of a fracked well.
Far from being environmentally damaging, McKenna argues the presence of shale gas has lowered carbon dioxide emissions in the U.S. to a 20 year low.
