The Harper Government is not deterred in its intention to change the justice system in spite of Supreme Court decisions that have gone against the Conservatives. That vow coming from Fundy Royal M-P Rob Moore who is a member of the federal cabinet and a lawyer himself.
Moore says the Conservatives believe the scales of justice have been tilted too much in favour of the rights of criminals and not public safety but changing it has turned into what he calls “a monumental task”.
The Supreme Court recently rejected minimum sentences for violating gun laws.
