Environment Canada Warns Of High Humidity

Environment Canada is warning of high humidity over the weekend and into next week.

A very warm and humid airmass is settling over the Maritimes and is expected to bring warm temperatures and high humidex values to the province.

Saturday the high is expected to be 29, up to 33 with the humidity, while Sunday the temperatures are a bit lower at 25, but the humidex kicks that up to 31 degrees.

Some areas will see values in the mid thirties this weekend, and likely even higher early next week with hottest temperatures expected Monday and Tuesday.

The provincial health department is warning people to be on the lookout for signs of heat related illnesses, including dizziness, rapid breathing, and dry mouth.

People suffering from these symptoms should be moved to a cool location, and given plenty of fluids, especially water.
