A fire in Upper Sackville on Saturday morning is being called suspicious by RCMP.
RCMP Sgt. Andre Pepin says that the early morning blaze remains under investigation, but he cannot state why the fire is suspicious.
Pepin did indicate that there were no injuries related to the fire, and RCMP does not believe the incident is connected to any other occurrences in the area.
Sackville Fire & Rescue Chief Craig Bowser says the department was dispatched to a structure fire on Route 940 at 6 a.m. Saturday morning. The Fire Chief says upon their arrival the structure was “fully involved.”
According to Bowser, “The damage to the main structure is a total loss but the garage behind it was definitely able to be saved.”
The cause of the fire remains undetermined, but Bowser did note that a Fire Marshall was on the scene.
