A new program is hoping to spread happiness throughout the city of Moncton.
It’s called Happiness Rocks Moncton.
Christel Poulin-Leblanc tells us how it works, “You take a rock, paint something on it that you like. On the back, you identify it with Happiness Rocks Moncton. Hide it somewhere in the city and eventually someone will find it and come back to the Facebook group. Then Post a photo of the rock along with your comments. After that, you can either keep it, or hide it somewhere else in the city for someone else to find. Then paint a rock of your own and hide it as well.”
This movement is being done in other cities as well, in an effort to make more people smile.. Posts have been going around on Facebook from communities in both Canada and the United States.
Poulin-Leblanc says, “It is always fun to have a little more joy and happiness in your life. I’ve had people post up on the Facebook group with a photo of their rock who said it made their day to find it.”
