Crystal Palace to close on Monday

For the past 24 years, Crystal Palace has created many childhood memories, but come Monday night, the amusement park will go dark.

It will officially close its doors for good.

In July, Cadillac Fairview announced that the park would close, and a Big Bass Pro Shop would be built in its place.

It’s hoped that the rides will be given another life, as Maritime Fun Group, owners of Magic Mountain and several other amusement type parks in Prince Edward Island has acquired them.

The Chapters and movie theatres will also remain open.

For the final weekend, a portion of the sales will be donated to the paediatric units at the Moncton Hospital and Georges Dumont Hospital.

Crystal Palace will close at 9 o’clock on Monday night.
