Saint John police are looking for a 27 year old man wanted on a Canada wide warrant for leaving a halfway house without permission.
James Halleran was serving a 8 year sentence for various offences including aggravated assault and discharging a firearm with intent.
When Halleran took off on Tuesday, he was wearing a black basketball jersey, black shorts and red and black sneakers.
He has sleeve tattoos as well as head and neck tattoos.
