Couple Donate $125,000 To Moncton Legion

The president of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #6 in Moncton is now breathing a sigh of relief.

Robert Dupuis didn’t know where the the legion was going to get $100,000 to pay for much needed building insulation.

But after recently winning millions from Lotto 649, Peter and Rhonda Lockhart of Lower Coverdale decided to help the veterans to the tune of $125,000.

Dupuis says the additional donation of $25,000 will come in handy for those veterans with no place to live.

According to Dupuis it costs approximately $5000 every month just to heat the building and keep the lights on.
