Conservatives Universal Child Care Benefit Ineffective At Driving Votes

A new poll by Forum Research shows the Universal Child Care Benefit is relatively ineffective at driving votes.

The numbers suggest 40 percent of voters are less likely to vote for the Conservatices because of the giveaway.

Only 12 percent said it would increase their support for the Conservative party.

11 percent of Conservatives said the benefit made them less likely to vote their party.

Furthermore, 63 percent of those polled believed it was designed to buy votes, not to genuinely help parents.

Forum Research President Lorne Bozinoff (BEAU-zin-off) says the Conservatives aren’t getting as big a bang for their buck as they wanted.
