It appears a marathon federal election campaign is about to begin
Prime Minister Stephen Harper is expected to visit Rideau Hall this weekend.
The Conservatives have scheduled a large rally for Sunday evening in Montreal.
If an election is called, it would be the longest campaign since 1927.
Votinig day wouldn’t be until October 19.
