Provincial Auditor-General Kim MacPherson says more has to be done to improve the fiscal health of the province. Even though the deficitr is lower than forecast, it means the debt continues to rise.
She warns the long term sustainability trends for the province are unfavourable.
MacPherson points out the deficit was lower but there were tax increases and government expenses rose.
