Christmas Shopping Sales Are Up

Things are looking better this Christmas for retailers than they were last year at this time, according to the Retail Council of Canada.

Its Atlantic Director Jim Cormier telling us sales are up from Black Friday to the early part of December by over 2 per cent.

Cormier says that sales momentum usually continues right through Christmas.

He calls last year a disaster because of the soft economy and stormy weather virtually every weekend leading up to Christmas.
