Chris Collins Victorious in Moncton Centre

It was over very quickly in Moncton Centre..With Chris Collins coming out on the winning end..

The Liberal candidate who formerly served as MLA for Moncton East..beat out Progressive Conservative Marie Claude Blais by over 17 hundred votes..

Collins was thrilled to be the voters first choice once again.

“We’re very excited about the win, but mostly, I’m humbled. The people of Moncton Centre have placed a great deal of trust in me and I can’t wait to execute for them.”

Blais accepted the defeat gracefully. She said, “I did my best, ran a good campaign, became the first woman Minister of Justice and Attorney General, something I’m very proud of, and we’ll continue to do the work for the people of Moncton.”

Blais most recently served as the Minister of Education and Early Childhood Development for the Conservative Government.

She says she is proud of her team and the work they have done.
