Charges Laid In Moncton Assault And Home Invasion

Three men face charges in connection with an abduction and assault at a Moncton home.

RCMP say on October 13th, officers responded to reports that a 50 year old woman was abducted from a Gordon Street home in Moncton…taken to Sackville….and then released.

The suspects later returned to the same home, and a 26 year old man was threatened and assaulted during a home invasion.

The victim suffered serious injuries.

Canada wide warrants were issued for the three suspects and they were arrested late last week.

42-year-old Shawn Augustine, 40-year-old Meneka Weva, who are both from Moncton, and 36-year-old Jeremy Bernard from Prince Edward Island are all facing several charges including forcible confinement, kidnapping, and assault with a weapon.

They are scheduled to appear in court again next month.
