CFIB Says Liberal Government Will Be Good For Small Business

The Canadian Federation of Independent Business is optimistic that this new Liberal government led by Premier-elect Brian Gallant will mean good things for smaller and medium sized businesses.

Ninety-seven per cent of all businesses in the province are small businesses.

Director of Provincial Affairs for New Brunswick Denis Robichaud says they are the backbone of our economy, so it is vital that for the future to have a government that will listen.

Robichaud says a couple of the issues they feel need to be looked at are a proposed reduction of corporate income tax for small businesses and also the need for changes to the provincial drug plan to reduce the burden of a potential payroll tax.
