The Cannabis NB website began taking orders at 12:01am Wednesday with web traffic consistent through the morning.
In the first nine minutes, twelve orders were completed, and after 48 minutes, 209 orders had been placed.
Outside a Moncton location Wednesday, Cannabis NB spokesperson Mark Barbour said positive feedback is coming from customers.
“I think our training program has been very successful and everyone is very enthusiastic, and excited. Everyone is receiving the level of service that we believe we have trained our sales staff to do.”
Barbour adds Cannabis NB website numbers were monitored until 1:30am, and averaged around 700 live users at any given time on the site.
Barbour says they are limited with the number of people allowed in the store at once.
“The Fire Marshall only allows us to have 40 people in the store at one time. In order to provide that one-on-one service right now, we are ensuring that we are taking things very slow. Ensure you have your ID, that is one important piece of information that we want to share with New Brunswickers.”
