Canada Bread Company To Move Halifax Operations to Facilities In New Brunswick

Canada Bread Company in Halifax is closing its doors and moving the majority of its production to Woodstock and Moncton.

Operations are expected to cease as early as June of this year, with the facility closing in November.

VP of Operations Jennifer Park says this will mean a small expansion of the Moncton plant and the creation of 35 jobs between the two New Brunswick operations.

She says there will be a small expansion to house updated or upgraded equipment within the facilities.

The 105 people employed at the Halifax bakery will receive severance packages, along with other employment services.
