Local artists are encouraged to take part in this year’s Downtown Moncton ArtWalk.
It’s the first year for the event that will help promote diverse artists, of all experience levels.
Co-Founder Amber Richards says we definitely have a strong art community in Moncton that needs to be exposed, “The Downtown Moncton ArtWalk will foster a stronger art appreciation culture in Moncton. A lot of people are intimidated, and they don’t realize how diverse art is and that there is something for everyone. We have a strong art community , but I don’t know if the broad community truly understands what we have here.”
Up to 44 artists can register to take part in the event, and there will be an opportunity to sell your artwork.
Natalie Sexton, who is also a Co-Founder, says, “This is a way for artists to promote their work. We want a really great diversity of artists for the event and artists of all experience levels. people can come out and see that artwork can be affordable and it can be attained.”
The event is planned for September 15 and 16..where artwork can be found in 30 businesses located in Downtown Moncton.
