Merging the two provincial Health Authorities could save anywhere from 40 to 70 million dollars a year. That claim being made by the leader of the People’s Alliance Party Kris Austin based on estimates from former Finance Minister Blaine Higgs and unnamed government officials.
Austin says that money could be better used to provide actual healthcare.
The People’s Alliance is supporting the petition launched by the Canadian Taxpayers Federation to end duplication of government services in the province based on language.
