Marc Miller brought into Carney’s cabinet after shuffle

In a cabinet shuffle Monday afternoon in Ottawa, Prime Minister Mark Carney swore in Marc Miller as Minister of Canadian Identity and Culture and Minister Responsible for Official Languages.

Miller served in Trudeau’s cabinet as Minister of Immigration.

In addition, Minister Joel Lightbound will take on a larger portfolio adding Quebec Lieutenant on and Minister of Environment and Climate Change Julie Dabrusin will get the nature file.

The shuffle follows the resignation of former Environment Minister Steven Guilbeault, last week.

Guilbeault stepped down after Carney signed a memorandum of understanding with Alberta for a pipeline agreement.
