Nursing home complex opens in Shediac

A 190-bed nursing home complex has opened in Shediac.

Maison Providence will be operated by Comfort Life Network.

It consists of five 30-bed homes and two 20-bed homes, and includes a specialized unit for psychogeriatric care.

The complex also includes social, living and dining spaces, as well as landscaped outdoor spaces for residents.

It will see the first residents in January.

This new home will replace Villa Providence, which has 174 beds.

An official opening for the new home was held on Monday.
