Burnt Church Man Charged in Double Stabbing

A 21-year-old man is facing charges after a double stabbing on the Burnt Church First Nation.

RCMP say the incident happened at around noon yesterday.

Two men, 25 and 33 years old, were treated at hospital for stab wounds and then released.

John Craig Metallic appeared in Miramichi court today and was charged with one count of aggravated assault and one count of failing to comply with an undertaking.

He will remain in custody and will return to court on September 22nd.
