Tomorrow is known in shopping circles as Cyber Monday
The Maritime Better Business Bureau’s Jill Atkinson says shopping on-line can be fun but it comes with its risks.
She says shop at on-line sites you’re familiar with and if you’re not sure, contact the Bureau. Atkinson says be wary of those irritating phishing scams, emails from someone claiming to be a reputable company.
Atkinson suggests you pay for on-line purchases by credit card to get a record of the transaction. She also says check the card statements often and avoid giving out too much personal information.
