Bathurst Man Picks Up $9 Million Lotto Prize

Emotions were running high on both sides of the lottery counter at Atlantic Lottery’s head office in Moncton today when a man validated a ticket worth more than $9 million dollars.

Jean-Claude Raiche of Bathurst picked up his winnings from Saturday’s Lotto 6/49 draw when lottery officials validated the ticket on-site.

Jean-Claude says he has been playing the same numbers for over 10 years.

The ticket stayed safely tucked away until he walked into Atlantic Lottery this afternoon with excited family members.

Jean-Claude has one wish that will come true thanks to the win – a trip for the holidays with all of his children and grandchildren.
