More than 15,000 visitors were on hand for a weekend open house at downtown Moncton’s new Avenir Centre.
SMG Canada is the building manager for the City of Moncton.
SMG spokesperson Bonnie Porter says many visitors arrived on bicycles or public transit.
“It was the first kick at the can for our front line staff and they did great. Now they know what to expect. There is a little tweaking going on behind the scenes getting ready for Wednesday. But we expect to have a very successful night for Keith Urban,” says Porter.
There are still a few tickets left for the concert which can be purchased online or at the Avenir Centre box office.
Porter notes that many visitors commented on social media about how it was a short and pleasant walk to the facility and also about how accessible the building seems to be for everyone.
