Arson Suspected In Several Fires In Moncton

Several small fires within a short time period kept Moncton Firefighters busy yesterday afternoon.

The first call came in just after 5, with reports of a blaze in a Canada Post mailbox on Mountain Road.

As they were putting that out, there were reports of two more fires in garbage bins on Main Street.

Platoon Chief Dennis Dollemont says it’s believed the two garbage bin fires are connected, but the one in the mailbox is not related.

Arson is suspected.
