A Moncton woman is facing attempted murder charges in connection with an incident earlier this week.
Codiac RCMP say on Tuesday night, officers went to a home on Gloucester Street where a woman had been assaulted with a weapon.
The victim was taken to hospital for treatment.
Fifty-five-year-old Clare Gallagher was arrested at the scene, and is facing numerous charges including attempted murder, uttering threats, and assault.
She appeared in court yesterday and is being held in custody.
