Another Drop In Gasoline Prices

Gas prices in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick came down again this week.

World oil prices have dipped to below $50 per barrel.

Diesel and heating oil are down some in price but they’re still higher than the other fuels.

Consumer advocate George Murphy says there’s a good reason for it. “As you know over in Europe they’re pretty heavy consumers of distillate products more so than they are for gasoline and that’s part of the reason we’re still seeing some support of distillate prices.”

Diesel fuel in the Maritimes dropped about three cents this week.
