Another Charity To Benefit From Greater Moncton’s 100 Women Who Care

Another local charity will come out a winner after tonight’s 100 Women Who Care meeting in Moncton.

The group is made up of 100 women, who each donate $100.

Spokesperson Jenna Murray says members nominate charities who they feel should benefit, and that is narrowed down prior to the meeting.

She says, “We randomnly selected three charities to come to our meetings and we mingle with them and we network with them and they each have five minutes to share why they need funds for that quarter.”

The charities that aren’t chosen to receive the $10, 000, will go back into the pool and could be chosen another night.

This is the group’s 6th meeting, and so far, it has raised $48, 000 for five charities since it launched in September of 2013.
