Albert County Ranch Gets Gov’t Funding For Upgrades

A tourism operator in Albert County has received a funding boost from two levels of government as it undergoes major upgrades.

Broadleaf Guest Ranch will receive more than $45,000 in provincial funding and over $166,000 federal dollars from ACOA.

The ranch will undergo improvements including the addition of six so-called “glamping” pods offering a new style of camping, new washrooms, new equipment along with upgrades to road and water systems.

Broadleaf Guest Ranch CEO Wendy Hudson says the funding will create unique accommodations and experiences and help attract more visitors to the Fundy region for longer stays throughout the year.

The province says the investment will create two new full-time jobs and falls in line with its tourism growth strategy which aims to grow the industry in New Brunswick by 2025.
