It is the season of giving, even during a pandemic.
We told you earlier this week, about the 6600 pounds of food and over $2500 received during the Tim Horton’s Food Drive on November 21st.
Food Depot Alimentaire President Dale Hicks says that will help keep them going through the winter months, “Just under $20, 000. I think $19, 810 was the value of that initiative for six hours in the Moncton Coliseum parking lot.”
Normally, the food drive is held during the Greater Moncton Santa Claus parade.
Last year $2100 in donations was received
“It was a positive note. We have a bunch of initiatives that go on during the 30 Days of Community Caring. That was the first one, so it was nice to kick off that campaign with something positive,” Hicks says.
