It’s Back To Class For Teachers

Teachers across the province will return to school as early as June 1st.

“As restrictions are easing, public health and safety remains our top priority,” said Education and Early Childhood Development Minister Dominic Cardy. “At this time, we are confident that districts, following the advice of Public Health, will be able to safely allow school staff access to facilities to complete their work for the school year.”

Teachers will be completing any outstanding work, including finalizing home learning options, and preparing for the next school year.

Students will not be returning to the classroom until at least September.

Each school district will determine a return to work policy for the staff.

The last day of work before the summer break will be June 23rd.
