Women are being celebrated in an annual event in Moncton on Friday night which will benefit the YWCA.
Marking its 31st year in Moncton, spokesperson Heather Fraser says it will be a wine and cheese hors d’oeuvre social in honour of International Women’s Day.
“We are hoping it will be a sold out event like last year when we had 150 women. We raised $6,000 for the YWCA,” she notes.
Moncton-Riverview-Dieppe MP Ginette Petitpas Taylor and Moncton mayor Dawn Arnold will be among the guest speakers.
The event starts at 6:30 PM tonight (March 6) at the Moncton Lions Community Centre.
