Members of the public are invited to join Memramcook-Tantramar MLA Megan Mitton for a community meeting on health care solutions tonight in Sackville.
Mitton is holding the meeting in response to the Health Care Reforms proposed for the Sackville Memorial Hospital.
While she agrees that change is needed, Mitton says they must make sense for the communities and especially rural communities.
“I think one of the main issues that I’ve heard from people in my community and across the province is that there was basically no consultations. To me that’s essential in making changes to our healthcare system,” she says.
Attendees will be updated on the current situation of the healthcare system and be invited to propose solutions to those challenges.
The meeting will be held tonight at 6:30 in the Marjorie Young Bell Convocation Hall.
