How To Vote in The Federal Election On October 21

With the federal election just three weeks away, you may have started to consider who you will vote for.

There are several options for casting a ballot, some of them are done in advance.

The first way…is to vote on election day, October 21st at your designated polling station.

Spokesperson for Elections Canada Enguehard says there’s also an opportunity to vote in advance.

“Advanced polls will be four days, October 11th to October 14th. You will vote at your assigned polling station. The hours are much longer to make it much easier for everyone to get there. It is from 9am to 9pm, so you have four full days to vote in advance polls.”

There is also an option to vote by mail, “You can apply online or at any Elections Canada office before October 15th at 6pm. You will be sent a voting kit, and this is how people abroad will vote as well,” Enguehard says.

An official list of candidates will be available on October 2nd.
