Book Donations Needed For Annual Sale

Laubach Literacy is looking for your book donations.

They are preparing for their 6th annual Bookstravaganza event, to be held at Edith Cavell School.

Executive Director Carol Cottrill says they expect to have a lot to choose from this year, “You will probably have about between 25,000 and 30,000 books available. Most will be between $1 and $3, so bring your bags and stock up on books from October 18th to the 20th.”

Book donations are being accepted at all Sobey’s location in Moncton, Riverview or Dieppe until October 11th.

Laubach Literacy is a program that helps adults with their literacy skills.

Cotrill says last year, the money that was raised from the sale went to redeveloping their tutor training program.

This year, they hope to look at more digital options, “What we are going to be focusing on, is pushing that innovation and how we can help more people at a greater distance.”
