Portage Atlantic To Hold Fundraiser Dinner In Moncton

The Greater Moncton Business and Community Leaders are holding a fundraiser dinner for Portage Atlantic on Sunday.

The proceeds of the event will go towards supporting the Rehabilitation Centre at Cassidy Lake.

The programs and services help youth, ages 14-21, with substance abuse issues regain control of their lives and become contributing members of our community.

Carol Tracey, Director of Development at Portage says many of their students are alienated by their friends and family.

She adds that events like this also help raise awareness for the centre.

Tracey says this year, attendees will hear from a youth who’s life was saved thanks to Portage as well as their parent.

Each year, Portage Atlantic has approximately 150 admissions many of which come from the Greater Moncton area.

The event will be held at the Delta Beausejour, reception is at 6 and dinner will be served at 7.

To purchase tickets for the dinner, head to portage.moncton.eventbrite.ca or contact Portage Atlantic directly.
