Trans Canada Highway Reopens After Flooding

Good news for those who rely on the Trans-Canada Highway to travel between Fredericton and Moncton.

The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure says the highway has reopened in both directions in the Jemseg area.

Floodwaters forced transportation officials to close the highway in both directions last Wednesday night.

Drivers had to take a 90-kilometre detour through Saint John on Highway 1 and Highway 7.
