Higgs Repeats Call For Gallant to Resign

Conservative leader Blaine Higgs putting a positive spin on talks with the Green party this week saying they are aligned on many issues.

He says the discussions with David Coon were done in an open and transparent way with a focus on process.

He is sticking to his earlier commitment that the PC party doesn’t intend to form a coalition government with any party and there will be no backroom deals.

Higgs noting that he and the Green Party leader both have experience in the legislature but they feel the process is a broken one.

The PC leader refers to People’s Alliance Leader Kris Austin’s committment to the Lieutenant Governor that he will not trigger an election for at least 18 months if the Conservatives form a minority government.

Higgs adds he also believes that David Coon wants to avoid another election.

Higgs claims Brian Gallant is trying to draw the process out so he can keep trying to lure a PC MLA across the floor.

He claims this is only delaying the inevitable so he repeats his call for Brian Gallant to resign.
