PC Ernie Steeves Re-Elected In Moncton Northwest

In Moncton Northwest, there were some anxious moments at the headquarters for Progressive Conservative incumbent Ernie Steeves….and Liberal Courtney Pringle-Carver…

In the end, with just 223 votes separating them, Ernie Steeves was elected for a second term,” It was certainly a relief. No matter how much you think that it is going to turn out the way you hoped, it is just such a relief in the end.”

Steeves says he looks forward to working with all of the parties, “I look forward to working with the Liberals, Green Party and Peoples Alliance as well. New Brunswick is a small province and we all need to work together.”

Pringle-Carver took the time to stop at Steeves headquarters after the votes were tallied to say congratulations.

“Ernie ran a fabulous campaign. We ran a wonderful campaign too. I am incredibly indebted to all of my volunteers. However, the people of Moncton Northwest have expressed their confidence in Ernie Steeves for yet another mandate and I wish him all the best. This has been the singular most unique privilege of my life and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. The one thing I am exceedingly grateful for, is that he and I were very respectful of one another, and when campaigning, we only had good things to say about one another.”
