A woman walking along Highway 7 on Friday night was struck by a vehicle just before midnight.
Saint John police got the call to respond to the collision in the area of Exit 90.
The 40-year-old woman was walking when she was hit by a vehicle and she died from her injuries.
Her name is not being released at this time.
The driver of the vehicle was not hurt and no charges have been filed at this point.
The Major Crime and Traffic units are still looking into the cause.
Highway 7 is still closed to all traffic northbound at the end of Manawagonish Rd. Please avoid the area.
