Matthew Raymond Facing Four Murder Charges In Fredericton Shooting

A 48-year-old Fredericton man has been charged with four counts of first-degree murder in connection with the shooting on Friday where four people died including two police officers.

Fredericton police say the shooting happened about 7:10 a.m. near an apartment building on Brookside Drive on the city’s north side.

Matthew Vincent Raymond was charged this morning with the deaths of 45-year-old Constable Lawrence Robert (Robb) Costello, 43-year-old Constable Sara Mae Helen Burns, 42-year-old Donald Adam Robichaud and 32-year-old Bobbie Lee Wright.

Raymond is being held in custody until a court appearance on August 27th.
