Two More Bodies Of Water In Moncton Have Algae

It has become the summer of blue-green algae in New Brunswick.

Two more bodies of water have algae in Greater Moncton according to City officials.

Jones Lake and the Mapleton Park Pond have confirmed cases and both are now off-limits for recreation.

Pet owners should keep animals away as well.

Several dogs recently died after consuming water with algae.

The Centennial Park Pond and the Irishtown Park Reservoir also have algae.

Record-breaking hot weather this summer has been a major factor in the rise of blooms.
