The Greater Moncton Down Syndrome Society is looking for your stories, poems or even drawings, of how a person with Down syndrome has touched your life…
She is hoping to receive similar submissions for a book to be published in Greater Moncton..
President Sandra Blatt-Arsenault says she was inspired by a post that she saw from England, looking for love letters, for new parents, to get them excited about the journey of having a child with down syndrome..
“It really pulls on your heart and makes you think about the world in a different way. You could draw a picture of what you do together, just so that we can see that joys and the richness that all of this diversity creates in our lives. Whatever word you would like to say, even if you want to say one sentence. If you want to write a poem, if you want to tell a story of how they have improved your family’s life or just your life on a better outlook everyday,” Blatt-Arsenault says.
Blatt-Arsenault says they’re also looking for someone to publish their book.
Submissions deadlines are December 31st.
