West District RCMP arrested one man after the seizure of well over 100,00 illegal cigarettes.
Last Friday morning, around 10:20 police received a report of a vehicle in the ditch off the Trans-Canada Highway in Prince William, half an hour west of Fredericton.
Police found more than 180,000 contraband cigarettes in the trunk and back of the car.
A 43-year old Moncton man was arrested at the scene, but was later released on a promise to appear in court at a later date.
