Bathurst Man Wanted On Canada Wide Warrant

A Canada wide arrest warrant has been issued for a Bathurst man, and Northeast District RCMP are asking the public to keep an eye open.

36-year old Zachariah Russell has been charged with aggravated assault, two counts of uttering threats and mischief.

The warrant and charges are in relation to a stabbing.

On July 8th, officers responded to a report of a stabbing in Gloucester Junction, just south of Bathurst.

Russell is described as 6’2″, weighing about 210 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

He has several tattoos, including a skull on his left shoulder, and another skull on the left side of his neck.

Police believe he may be in the Chaleur area, and are warning the public not to approach Russell and instead to call 911 immediately.
