An inmate who escaped from a jail in northwestern New Brunswick is back behind bars.
RCMP say Kevin Beaulieu was arrested by officers from the Sûreté du Québec in Saint-Jean-de-la-Lande, Québec, on Sunday.
According to police, 38-year-old jumped the fence at the Madawaska Regional Correctional Centre in Saint-Hilaire and took off on foot around 10:15 a.m. Saturday.

Officers searched the area and brought in a police dog but were unable to locate Beaulieu.
Saint-Jean-de-la-Lande is located about 35 kilometres from Saint-Hilaire.
