A pair of New Brunswickers are among 105 new appointments to the Order of Canada.
Patricia “Patsy” Gallant of Campbellton is being recognized for her contributions to pop music and for her dedication to social causes.
Jean-Claude Savoie of Saint-Quentin has been named for his drive and continuous search for innovation as an entrepreneur in the forestry sector and wood processing industry.
Other appointments include Beverley McLachlin, the Supreme Court of Canada’s longest-serving chief justice, and Saturday Night Live creator Lorne Michaels.
The Order of Canada is one of our country’s highest civilian honours and recognizes outstanding achievement, dedication to the community and service to the nation.
